We can be deeply ambitious and fully human.

If you’ve worked hard to build a life and career you’re proud of, but are beginning to question whether the version of success that got you here is the one you want to keep living, Ambitious & Human is for you.

Each week, Latia Harris explores the rules we’ve inherited about success and the ways those rules shape our choices, our workplaces, our relationships, and the lives we’re building beyond work.

The show begins with the lived experience of ambitious people: what we want work to make possible, what we’re proud of, and where success no longer reflects what matters most. Then it widens the lens to the cultures, expectations, and systems that influence what gets rewarded, what gets sacrificed, and what we learn to call normal.

A question the show returns to is:

“What’s this actually asking of the humans making it happen?”

That question isn’t an invitation to want less or dismiss what you’ve built. It’s a way to get more honest about what success is for, what it costs, and whether the way we’re pursuing it supports the life, leadership, and impact we actually want.

That is where Designed Success begins: getting clear about what success is for, then building toward it without treating your health, joy, relationships, or humanity as acceptable collateral.

Episodes examine what leadership, workplace culture, and our larger systems ask people to absorb in the name of success. Along the way, Latia also makes room to laugh at some of the foolishness we’ve all participated in because we assumed there was no other way.

If you’re proud of what you’ve built and ready to examine the rules you learned to follow along the way, you’re in the right place.

Follow Ambitious & Human and listen each week.
